An exclusive heart-shaped monument with reliefs – angels – and a portrait, dedicated to a mother, at Jaunciems Cemetery in Riga, installed in May 2022 for Mother's Day.
In God's garden there are many flowers,
Raise your eyes – they all shine!
Yet the loveliest of them all
Is a mother's warm and loving heart…
This memorial ensemble was created to an individual design – a moving testament to the love of the deceased's daughters for their mother as she passed into eternity…
The memorial ensemble was first developed as a 3D model so that even the smallest details could be agreed. Our team took great care to meet the client's wishes, and received a review with the highest rating for it.
The monument is made of durable, 10 cm thick black Swedish granite, “Moheda Black Diabas”, so that the reliefs – angels – could be carved; the rest of the ensemble is combined with a second, grey-brown Swedish granite, “Boxus Grey Tossene”.
The grave slab – border – is also heart-shaped, made from a monolithic grey granite slab, in the centre of which flowers can be planted or white pebbles spread.
The memorial is complemented by a practical two-colour granite grave bench with a neat box underneath for storing various cleaning items, small vases and candles. The bottom of the box is filled with granite chippings, which drain away excess water when it rains so that it does not collect in the box.
The memorial ensemble includes semicircular flower beds sawn from a monolithic stone slab, and the entrance posts are topped with granite balls, which add to the overall atmosphere.
The grave plot is covered with marble pebbles in two colours, separated by a dividing strip to form an elegant line.
This exclusive memorial ensemble was made in Riga in May 2022 and installed at Jaunciems Cemetery for Mother's Day.
