A grave created by a daughter for her beloved mother. The grave was laid out in summer 2024 at Dagda Town Cemetery in her mother's memory, in red-brown AURORA and black Swedish granite, and fitted with Caggiati bronze letters, accessories – vases and candle holders – as well as a grave slab with a heart, a grave bench with a tool box and beautiful perennial plants. The grave lies at the very top of the cemetery hill, on a very steep slope, so the ground had to be built up and raised, the entrance path paved and an extra step added. The monument is made of granite in two colours and in three parts. The middle part takes the form of a flame, symbolising the warm nature and fiery heart of the deceased. The grave slab is heart-shaped, made of black and Aurora granite; it complements the memorial ensemble and speaks to everyone who sees it, conveying that this soul will forever be held in fond memory and that an eternal flame will burn in her remembrance. The memorial ensemble is completed by accessories such as granite vases and bronze candle holders, as well as a matching stone bench with a built-in tool box for cleaning items. The monument was made in Riga at the SoulGarden master workshop and installed at Dagda Town Cemetery at the end of June 2024. Designed by Inese Dimdāne.
