Grave renovation at Indra Cemetery, Krāslava Municipality, in June 2022. Over time old graves settle and their appearance changes, even though the monument itself has often remained in good condition. In such cases a full renovation of the grave is needed. At this family grave the ground has been re-levelled, a path has been built and paved, a retaining wall has been built and granite borders have been installed around the perimeter. The old monument has been kept, cleaned and restored and set on a new base, a new grave border has been laid, beds have been made for new plants and perennials have been planted in the grave border. The area of the grave has been covered with geotextile and topped with fine chippings.
