A landscaping and reconstruction project for a family grave with a complex composition at Matīss Cemetery in Riga, 2023. The composition of the grave uses many elements and symbols that are striking in themselves and that the client associates with emotional anchors, which shape the overall image of the family grave. The old gravestone has been kept at the grave; it was cleaned and incorporated into the memorial ensemble, and symbolises the beginning and continuation of the family.
The bronze accessories - birds at the foot of the monuments - also symbolise the continuation of the family: the next generations descended from it. The grave is fully landscaped with granite paved paths, a bench and beds for beautiful perennial plants. A beautiful granite planter for summer plants has been placed on the grave border. A bronze angel sits on the grave border, praying for the loved ones who have passed into eternity. Reconstruction of a family grave at Matīss Cemetery in Riga
