Renovation of a family grave, fitting a new burial in with the existing burials and incorporating a new monument with a portrait into the overall ensemble. A granite border was laid around the perimeter of the grave, the old monuments were reinstalled on new bases, and new half-covered grave borders were installed in the same style as the perimeter border. The surface of the grave was laid with pink marble chippings over geotextile. The monument was carved in a free form, with a head-and-shoulders portrait engraved on the front and a landscape engraved on the back. The existing plants on the grave were kept and new ones planted – a hedge behind the monuments and fresh summer flowers in the grave frames. The monument is made of black Swedish granite with an engraved half-length portrait and was installed at Pļavnieki Cemetery in Riga in June 2023.
